Data Engineer

The Data Engineer actively participates in the design and development of features implemented by the Platform Engineers. By manipulating data from various sources and creating web services to support the platform's API, the Data Engineer also takes on a secondary role in ensuring that security and compliance initiatives are maintained.

Responsibilities

- Supports the Platform Engineers with relevant web services

- Maintains the TackThis platform's API

- Assumes ownership of the database integrity and infrastructure security of the TackThis platform

- Defines the security roadmap for integration with third party platforms and apps

- Keeps the organization informed of up-to-date security events and potential threats

Requirements

- Extensive experience in data warehousing architecture and data modeling best practices

- Expert knowledge in .NET/PHP and SQL

- Experience with File Systems, server architectures, and distributed systems

- Windows Azure knowledge is a plus

- Proactive, self-directed, detailed, and organized

- Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

- Applicants with 2-5 years of experience in relevant database and security management roles are welcome

Product Manager

The Product Manager is a team leader who works closely with the CTO and the engineering and sales team. We are looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic Product Manager who can innovate and aid in executing product initiatives for the TackThis platform. As the Product Manager, you will need to rely on your strong analytical skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw informed conclusions.

Responsibilities

Work with the CTO and the engineering/sales team in executing product initiatives for the TackThis platform

- Have a clear understanding of UX (user experience) with respect to selling online

- Technically translate UX issues to the UI Engineer

- Ensure product quality of each release

- Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction

- Define and analyze metrics that will ensure the success of the TackThis platform

- Lead the engineering team to achieve more innovations and higher production standards

- Willingness to take initiative in contributing beyond basic responsibilities

Requirements

- Basic knowledge of web technologies (HTML5/CSS3/JS)

- Knowledge of business intelligence reporting and performance tuning techniques is preferred

- Exceptional communication and presentation skills

- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

- Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web applications and/or e-commerce products

- Knowledge in UI prototyping techniques (i.e. creating examples through wire frames and mock ups)

- Experience working with coding for high-performance environments (code optimization)

- 2-5 years of experience in product management or product design

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
